In the making of cloth, warp and weft form the essence of weaving, turning loose threads into fabric. The warp stands vertical and taut, held in tension, while the weft moves horizontally, passing through and binding the whole.
In this project, Christophe and Ziv continually exchange these roles —now warp, now weft— interlacing their contributions into the musical weave. The music emerged slowly, yarn by yarn, each strand finding its place over time. This is why the recording stretched across two years: it was not a conventional project. Time itself became a material, woven into the fabric of the work.
