Minor Dispute (2025 Remastered) marks the return of a pivotal album in the artistic journey of bassist and composer Petros Klampanis, more than a decade after its original release.
The music of Minor Dispute was conceived between 2009 and 2012 in New York and first took shape at the Cornelia Street Café in the West Village, a space where friendships, stories, and sound converged night after night. Surrounded by close collaborators and a community of musicians and listeners, the project emerged organically during a period that felt open, optimistic, and full of possibility.
Recorded in Brooklyn in 2013 (Bunker Studios), the album was made possible through the support of more than 300 listeners who contributed to a crowdfunding campaign, offering not only financial backing but belief in a project still finding its form. That collective energy became a defining part of the record’s identity.
Looking back, Minor Dispute stands as a snapshot of an artist in motion, balancing clarity and chaos, inner reflection and outward expression. The title refers to a quiet but persistent dialogue: the tension between hope and doubt, light and shadow, resolution and uncertainty. It is a conversation that remains ongoing.
The 2025 Remastered edition does not attempt to rewrite the past. Instead, it offers renewed perspective and sonic clarity, allowing the music to breathe differently and revealing details that time can bring into focus. The release coincides with the long-awaited vinyl edition, a format that reflects the album’s original intention and physical presence.
More than ten years later, Minor Dispute resurfaces not as a nostalgic artifact, but as a living work that continues to invite listening, reflection, and internal dialogue.
